Default Hood washer sprayer relocate to wipers.

Alright, here we go! I ordered ACE hilift jack hood mounts, and after all of the talk of poor sprayer performance following install I decided to move my sprayers. After searching for a good location I decided on the wiper arms.

Since I was going to be messing with the tubing I went ahead and did the heated fluid mod too.

First step is to unplug the tubing from the underside of the hood.

Re-route it back toward the front of jeep.

Run the new tubing down the radiator hose and then wrap it back.

Run the tubing along side the original tube and to the opening at the cowl.

Run tubing from the wiper openings to the supply tubing.

Attach the tubing to the wiper arms. I chose to attach them to the spring loops that hook to the arms.

Connect it all together with a tee and you're in business!!!

M camera died so I will have to add in the other pics tonight.
The wiper nozzles are readily available I most GM cars at the salvage yard, or you can buy them for $25 each a your local stealership.

The sprayer on the left is from an older Caddy, middle is a Saturn, and right is a Pontiac GP.

I am most likely going with the Pontiac sprayer. But I will test eac of them for the best spray pattern.

I have the part # if you choose to go that route.

All I have left to do is hook up the tee. I'll post some more later this evening with final results!

Great idea. Take some pics after you get the windshield nice and dirty.

I did something very similar:

Added dual universal nozzles to the cowl vent. Cost me $10 at the local parts store. Took the main line, added a tee and good to go. Works amazing and fully sprays both driver and pass sides.

haha. Me and BigChris were talking about doing this very same mod because of ACE hilift mounts. Great job dude. I'll be watching for the end product.

I had those exact same universal sprayers, and I took them back. Not because they weren't good enough...I just wanted to do my own thing!

Ok, so I was using the blue ties for mock up su I could see where I was running things. I replaced all of them with black once I was happy with it all. The only thing I can say that didn't go perfect with the whole mod was that the clip on sprayers have a slightly smaller shank than the I.D. of the tubing I used...so I just RTV blacked them babes on and we are good to go!

Love the idea of this and will likely do the relocate mod... But I don't get the heated hose part. So the section of hose that's around the radiator hose melts as things warm up, but what about the three feet of hose that is under the cowl and/or up to the wiper arm? How log does it take for that to melt before they can spray?

The heated hose warms up the washer fluid and melts the frozen snow/dew on the windshield instead of using the defrost and waiting forever.
