Default Orfab Tire Carrier Install Question

I just purchased the Rotopax version of the carrier for my 2012 JK Rubicon and am about to start the install. After reading the instructions (twice) I still don't have a good handle on the order the brass washer, wave washer, and SAE washers all go together. The instructions that I have don't clearly show or describe the correct order ?

I think the order (top down) should be bolt>>SAE washer>>bracket>>brass washer>>wave washers>>spacer>>brass washers>>bracket, etc.?

Any help here or possible a really clear picture?

Hope this helps. On the top hinge the wave washer is on the top. The whole stack is reversed for the bottom if I recall right.

Just looked at the instructions, my bad, only the spacers are reversed for the lower hinge mount. Otherwise the washers are the same order.

Hey Steve, would you mind posting some photos once you get the carrier installed with the Rotopax?
I'm really interested in this carrier and I want to see how it looks!

Thanks in advance

So, to be clear here;

Based on your pictures it looks like you have (top down):

Bolt
SAE washer
Bracket
Wave washer
Brass Washer
Spacer
Brass Washer
Bracket

Is that correct? Then the larger spacers just get reversed for the bottom? So you have the wave washers up against the bracket on both top and bottom? Essentially the wave washers are between the bracket and the brass washers?

Sure, I was actually planning on taking a series of pictures and posting a short install here. I'll PM you when it's complete.

On the top mount, it is, top to bottom, bracket, wave washer, brass washer, small spacer, 2 brass washers, carrier arm, 2 brass washers, large spacer, brass washer, then bracket.
For the lower mount it is the same except the spacers are reversed.
The main bolt that holds it all together in the bracket I installed from top to bottom with a washer at both ends and the nylon lock nut on the bottom.
The hardest part is getting the wave washer installed, it is tight and the spring action of the washer makes a ...well let's say....you'll create your own vocabulary...lol!

Thanks so much, that's exactly what I needed. I think I'll put a clear coat on my spacers tomorrow and let them sit. Install this weekend.

Thanks again,
- Steve
