Default OME lift showed up - kit changed?

Hello,

I was reading the early posts and write-up for the install. I noticed that other kits contained spacers for the front. My kit did not come with any. Did they change the front coils so spacers were not needed to level out the rake? I was told by David at Northridge that this lift levels out the rake...

Thank you,

Dale

mine didn't have the spacers either. I assume it because they simply give you a different spring depending on what your exact needs are, since they have like 20 different ones and they all seem to give you 3 inchs of lift. i also think the initial kit, since WoL did the write up, has changed, due to cost and need. There doesnt seem to be a need for the spacers or the relocation bracket, so to lower the cost of the kit, theyre removed.

Don't worry though, you'll love how it looks. just be sure to get those axles to droop way low, or you'll have a hell of a time getting those coils in

My OME "kit" didn't come with spacers either. I thought the OME springs and shocks were of such good quality they didn't need spacers! Thats why I paid so much for just springs and shocks!

And yes I love the ride and height the system gave me!

Thank you for the replies. So for both of you, there was/is no front rake?

Thank you,

Dale

Got it all done tonight I will post pictures and my thoughts on the install in another thread.

Actual lift is 3" with 615/617 springs, but I am sure they will settle a little...and it is all level.

Yep. That is about what I initially got out of my 2 door with the same springs. Its been a few months and the springs have settled by about .5".

I just added a winch and bumper, so now I have to add spacers (quick, temporary fix) to level the front.

Oh, my lift didn't come with the spacers either.

I bought mine with the HD coils and did not get spacers. I have only had about 1/2" sag over 2 years with armor and winch. I have a very slight rake, but its not real noticable.

We havent supplied the spacers in like 3-4 years. they just add cost and you dont need them.
