Default Drake billet aluminum grille inserts...

Does anyone have the Drake grille inserts? They are billet aluminum and $79.99 @Quadratec. I had the "gutter guard" plastic mesh in my '07 grille, but these look a lot stronger and easy to install.

I have them, they are great for keeping the radiator from getting beat up.

I have them in black! They are pretty nice. But the paint does seem to chip easy on them. It is more of a matte finish.
Word of caution: be careful when using towels to dry your Jeep, they tend to get caught on the inserts!

The bolts used did rust up on me after 2 days in the summer! Some black touch up paint was applied and no problems so far!

Had a chrome version on my TJ. Paint chipped quick. Also coolant temps went up a hair. They do block a decent bit of air. Could be an issue for heavy towing with a tranny cooler

Yea ! That was my theory , to protect ! Because a rock or anything really moving I think would push through the gutter guard mod pretty easily ( theory ) ... I would be getting in black ! & thanks the heads up
About the hardware ! Maybe a run to the shop & swap out for some stainless
