Best cold air intake

I have the banks on mine. I like it because it is open in the front to take a gulp of cold air but it is also contained inside its own air box so when you jump on the go pedal you won't get that deep ear vibrating moan that you get from an open element.

I watch those extreme 4x4 shows, you know the ones that modify a jeep to the max and never tell you how much it would cost to add such mods but the one consistent mod that these guys all do is add a cold air intake. I am not sure if I even need it but if the advertisements are telling me that I get a gain in horsepower and a savings of MPG's why isn't everybody installing them?
That's why I ask???
Happy Thanksgiving everybody!!!
+2...
If you do anything other than this... Well, lets just say I've seen a bumch of wet air filters...
Most of the "Cold Air Intakes" take air from the engine compartment... That is not cold air... Also usually in doing so they open up what was the air box to all of the contaminates in the engine compartment... ie, wet air filter when ever you go through it or for that matter, I've seen in on wet rainy days....
So, get a snorkel... takes cold air from outside the engine compartment plus it's some security against hydro lock...
Some will say that the air warms up on it's way down the snorkel... It probably does, but... Not as much as the air in the engine compartment...
Good luck...
