I'm currently running the R/C 3.5 series II and I'm very happy with it. Definitely worth checking out if your on a budget.

Dont know what the 'deal' is but for 100$ more the 3.5" kit is far more complete and still an excellent value.

The 3.5 has new control arms, coil plates and pitman arm. All help to maintain a more stock feel for the the drivetrain. As you go higher the axles move closer to one another making the wheelbase shrink changing the driving feel. The control arms keep the wheelbase the same. The coil plates adjust the effective angle of the coils to keep them feeling stock as well. The pitman arm adjusts the draglink to be more in line with the trackbar resulting in less bumpsteer and odd behavior.
