I recently installed an Airaid CAI and am not enamored with the noise while pulling a grade (or any tiny ass incline ). Something about a 6 cylinder and the noise they make whether it's the CAI or the exhaust I just don't like So I'm curious if the snorkel with the stock air box makes less noise(or any?) than the CAI? Also does it effect visibility by the windshield post

 

It will make less noise because it is still travelling through the stock air box which does a good job at quieting the airflow through the filter

 

My AEV Snorkel with the prefilt top can be kinda loud when the RPMs are high. Ive noticed its louder than other CAIs i have seen on other jeeps.
Its not as loud if you use the ram air top instead though

 

My AEV Snorkel with the Ram top and stock air box with a Wix air filter is quiet. I use the freedomtop also, may block some noise.

No windshield or side window blockage.

 

There is a small dif in noise its like a pure really with my cai and snorkel. And I dont notice the snorkel from my window unles im looking righy at it.

 

No noticeable noise here either from my AEV with K&N drop-in.
