Default Plasti- Dip wheels

Howdy, I'm really admiring the Plasi-Dip stock wheels. But I got a couple questions:

Does it last good? Asking people with 5+ months.
How hard is it to peel off?
Should I get the spray on from a can or roll on from the tub?
How many cans or 1 qt tub?

Also pics would be great!

Thanks guys, and gals.

Most people on here are actually using spray can bedliner (dupli-color, krylon, etc.) on their wheels as opposed to plasti-dip due to it's increased durabilty. That being said I have seen others use plasti-dip on their car wheels and from many of the videos it appears to come off quite easily when/if you want to remove it. Youtube "plasti-dip wheel" and you'll find a butt load of videos on it's application and removal.

I have had plasti dip on my wheels since august and still looks great. Holds up to the elements well too. To get it off I used a power washer to make it easier but you can peel it off too. The thicker you put it on the easier it is to peel off. Can't post pics because I'm on my phone, but if you search my posts (which is not many haha) you can find pics in another thread.

I'm dippin my wheels on Monday. Will post pics afterwards. One question though. Does anyone know or have any experience when rotating the wheels ? Any damage or problems with peeling ?

Put a quater or washer in each lug hole. That way the lugs won't peel up the wheel.

I've had my wheels on and off several times and haven't peeled up my wheels yet one bit.

Touch up is also simple, just spray on and be happy.

Any one got pics of the plasti dip smoke???

http://www.plastidip.com/home_soluti...asti_Dip_Smoke

This summer im painting the interior of hardtop and wheels. im thinking this would be pretty badass with my dark charcoal pearl.

edit: Got to thinking.. This stuff would be great on my tuffy security deck!! and where the hardtop meets the jeep!! Damn. I want to even take out the carpet and replace with this! seems like it would be better than bedliner!! Now I need to order 20cans.

I plasti-dipped the badges and grill on my Tacoma (before I had the jeep) and it would peel off when I rubbed against bushes and branches on the trail and even in drive through car washes. Not recommended for any type of off road use.
