Default lift / tire question

I have a 2007 Wrangler x and I plan on putting a teraflex 2.5" budget boost lift and upgrading my tires to 33's using my 16" rims. Right now my tires are 30" I belive.

my question is, with these 2 upgrades, will I need to change anything else or worry about problems? i heard people say stuff about the gears may need to get changed and also how far off will my speed gauge be. im not an automotive person, i work on computers for a living

please any tips or advice is appreciated

Depend's , what gears do you have now. 3.21 or 3.73. since it's an 07 mite even have 4.10's. If it's 3.21 then you mite want to regear. Then get a Procal to reset the speedo.

Recommend getting a SuperChips Flashpak.
You can correct the speedo, improve performance, plus some additional features.
The best thing I did after I went to 33's. I'm on 34's now and will probably re-gear to go to 35's.

I'm runnin 33"s and my speedo is about 3 mph's off. It's further off the faster you go. This tire calculator will tell you about everything you need to know about changing tire size. http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...foTireMath.jsp

You can request a build sheet from Jeep's website. I'm almost positive this is the form you fill out. http://www.jeep.com/wccsapp/universal/J/index.jsp

X2 on the Flashpaq. I have an '07 X 6 speed with 3.21's running 285/70R17 Duratracs (33") and I have no issues, loss of power, etc. I'm currently running the 87 tune. I had better performance with the 91 tune but running 91 octane wasn't worth it $$$ wise with gas at $4 in CT.
