Ultimate Frankenstein Lift
Ok so Ive been reding and searching this forum to the point my head is ready to explode. I have a 2011 JKU auto matic Rubicon that I want to put a lift on to run 35's I'm thinking a 2.5 coil lift for starters that way I can add spacers later if I need a little more. Here are my questions:
1. Is there any good performing lift kits out there that DO NOT require any welding? (the welding is not my concern but I want something that can be removed with no evidence before going to the dealer since I purchased the extended warranty and will only be returning to the stealer if something major brakes)
2. I liked the rock krawler kit but they want you to weld on the rear track bar bracket which is what I dont understand if your going to make a new rear track bar why cant you make onr that uses the factory mounts? does anyone offer rear track bar that uses both factory mounts?
3. I read a tech right up about adjusting the caster and it only mentioned adjusting the lower control arm length Is that correct what is the purpose of having the upper fronts adjustabe?
4. Iwant to do it right but would prefer to do it in pieces such as adding upper adjustable control arms later if possible. Since its easier to sneek things past my fianancial manager (wife) a little at a time.

I know my zone lift kit required no welding at hole but I did have to drill like 2 holes. As for caster I said screw it I did not replace any control arms and its aligned and well.... other than the driveshafts I'm not concerned....yet.
I have a 4.5" lift and 35" tires. I have the extended warranty as well and as far as that's concerned, even with the lift, all the "major" things are still covered. The lift did not void my transmission, or my motor, nor did it void any of the expensive electrically controlled components to the vehicle whether it be pumps or sensors. Even if you get a lift, all your major expensive-to-repair stuff should still be covered under warranty. It is only the lift components that won't be covered. As far as driveshaft, ball joints, and other stuff like that that can be affected by the lift, even if you did not have the lift the dealership would probably just try to call it "normal wear and tear" and you'd end up having to pay to have the stuff fixed anyway. I think the problem lies more with the dealers. They all seem to treat lifted vehicles a little differently. If I were to break my stock axle or something like that because I was running oversized tires then I would not expect my dealership to fix a broken axle under warranty. Certain things like that I just have to accept are my own doing and my own responsibility to fix because I chose to modify it.
Even at 4.5" of lift I am still running the stock control arms, stock driveshafts, stock pitman arm, stock track bar bracket, stock axles, stock gears.....etc... I have no problems whatsoever. I don't think it's necessary to always have to buy everything all at once... I would say just buy it as you feel your vehicle needs it.
