Default RC 2.5" BB Kit or RC 3.25" lift kit.

Hello everyone. I need some of your input on a lift kit. I am looking to buy a Rough Country 2.5" spacer lift with shocks or their 3.25" lift that uses 2.5" springs and 3/4" spacers. I plan on running 33" tires just so you know. The 2.5" spacer lift is $349.00 with shocks and the 3.25" lift with shocks is $399.00. What do you guys think. I was thinking the spacer lift because I think I should have no problems with the factory springs sagging. I have heard that the RC springs can sag after a short time. BTW I do NOT plan on doing any hard core off roading like most of you here. Thanks for all your insight.

i think if you go over 2.5 lift you will have to change front drive shaft if i am not mistaken. that was one of the reason i didnt went over 2.5 lift

I put an RC 2.5 spacer and that would good for 33's. I am going 35`s so I will add a 1.25 body lift that will give a lil extra without dealing with the driveshafts since I will be mostly on road.

I was talking with someone at RC and he said there would be no problems with drive shafts with the 3.25 lift. So I have no idea what to think.

I've got the Rough Country 3.25" Lift with the stock drive shaft. I have had no problems with the lift except I was sent a faulty shock but that didn't matter because RC has great customer service and sent me a free new shock with out having to pay for shipping either. They have a lifetime warranty on their lifts (I'm 90% sure on that). But as far as the lift, I have my JK running that with 33" Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor tires and I have had no problems with either. At first, the lift felt amazing, there was no difference in the drive from the stock suspension so I was happy. After about a month of having it now, the shocks have loosened and so have the coil springs. The ride is a tad bit floaty but nothing to the point where I wouldn't purchase the lift again if I had another Jeep, the floaty feeling is almost unnoticable really, I am just the person who notices small things like that. Also the mpg has changed for me. I don't know if the lift did it or the tires did it but when my Jeep was stock I had 15-16 mpg city and now I average exactly 14-15 mpg for city. Also the highway mpg has not changed from 17-18 mpg. Hope this helps, if you have any other questions PM me and I'll be happy to answer. Also get the 3.25" lift instead of the 2.5" lift, once you get a lift you always want to go higher so why not start off with lift at a medium height rather than a small height. I also have had no sagging in my springs so far.

Whatever makes the driver happy is the right height to get, I think we can all agree.
