Out of curiosity; isn't this the same concept that AEV does on their front shock that allegedly prevents the shock from rubbing the frame in which you criticized for putting too much stress on the shock mount?

Well, after looking at it in depth, it appears it is a better design in that it pivots without bind.

Thanks we're psyched about it too. We've been testing this for over a year on our shop JK "Dixie"...its worked flawlessly...eliminating the binding associated with a parallel lower shock mount let our shocks work as they were intended.

Not a bad idea! A little extra BIND FREE travel never hurt anyone.

Thanks BuckLisa! We're pretty proud of how well it performs! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Not that it will really matter to me since I have a lowly dana30, but how much extra flex does this give? its hard to guess because it looks like a totally different position than stock.

We designed this bracket to:
1. Eliminate bind.
2. Move the shock outboard 2" to improve handling and clear the frame during extreme articulation.
3. Create a more focused stroke path throughout the full cycle.
4. Increase downward travel, our mounts move the mounting position up .5"...giving you an additional half inch of downward travel. That minimal amount of extra travel is on purpose...because we wanted to ensure that over flexing or compression risks were minimized on the widest range of shock options possible.
