Default 2012 sahara unlimited manual front driveline clearance problems?

I am about to install either a 3 teraflex basic lift or the 4 rancho lift and want to know if I am going to have clearance issues with the front driveshaft afterwards? Will I need the exhaust spacers or new driveline with the manual transmission?

You will definitely have front driveshaft issues and possibly a crossover exhaust issue. You will need to replace your front driveshaft with a smaller diameter aftermarket one and even with the new driveshaft, the driveshaft may still hit the crossover exhaust depending on lift size and shocks used.

As far as the rear driveshaft, I've read about one individual that had a problem with the rear driveshaft hitting his evap skid. He replaced the stock skid with a poison spyder evap skid to solve the problem. The poison spyder skid gave him an extra inch of clearance.

I have a 2012 JKU Rubicon with a 3.5" lift. I had to replace my front driveshaft with a Coast aftermarket one and I relocated the crossover exhaust with an aFe y-pipe. I haven't had any issues with my stock rear driveshaft hitting the stock evap skid, but I'm keeping an eye on it.

Sorry...should have been more specific.
i can see where the rear shaft would be a problem if the rear axle isn't repositioned correctly with an adjustable track bar but, assume that it is, you should be okay with the stock shaft. either way, i'll let you know what i find out after i get my 4-door 2012 lifted as i was planning to run it with the stock rear shaft.

assuming you have a 2012 JK, this would be true so long as your shocks are short enough to prevent more droop at a a full flex.

You will need to replace your front shaft. If you dont it will be at a constant state of being pinched off.

We have had to slot the holes in the Evap skid plate and slide it over slightly. Of course with the aftermarket shaft its not a big deal.

Subscribed.

I have a 2012 JKU Rubi manual and am gearing up for a 3" lift as well.

I've been asking around for about a month now and the answers I've been getting are all over the place.

From what I've heard, it's either:
-TFlex Exhaust Spacers ($60)

or

-TFlex Exhaust Spacers + front drive shaft ($520)

or

-AFE Y Pipe ($290)

or even

-AFE Y Pipe + front drive shaft ($750)

So ummm...WHICH IS IT?????

I just ordered a 12 jku rubi crush, from the info I've read and gathered replacing the front DS is needed and either the teraflex exhaust spacers or the AFE Y pipe (which ever you prefer) as well. There is a video on YouTube about the teraflex spacers that explains why they are needed.

Just installing the Teraflex spacers and changing the front shaft will give you all the room you need. I have a 2012 JKU manual with a 6" lift and no issues.
