Default Notchy Feeling Transmission

I need some input. I recently had a 2.5 inch coil suspension lift installed, and replaced my clutch and differential gears (4.88). Since then my transmission has felt very "notchy". Something doesn't feel right at all. The clutch is working well, so I assume it is in the transmission. This is driving me nuts. Any ideas?

I am unable to shift smoothly from one gear to the next. It always feels as if the shifter is hitting something internal in the transmission. I have to shift very slowly for it to go into each gear somewhat smoothly.

Check the fluid and make sure it's topped off. Mine is a "notchy" as well but it's been like that for most of its life. In the process of swapping out all my fluids to royal purple and hope to have time to do the tranny. I'm wishful that changing the tranny fluid to RP will make it shift smoother.

I just picked up a 2011 new. She's at 900km and I would describe it as notchy too. Second gear is the worst. I think it's just the nature of the beast unfortunately

400 miles on a 2012 and 2nd gear feels that way to me too. Sounds like it's a characteristic rather than a defect.

I was just going to make a post about this very issue as my digging a few days back didn't yield any results.

I have the same issue from 1 to 2, and 2 to 3. To shift smoothly I have to let the rpms drop and then it goes in. Otherwise it feels like its catching on something.

A friend of mine told me it is normal as the drivetrain is spinning quicker now.

I'm not sure as its the first vehicle I ever regeared. I'm running 4.56s now.

Change to royal purple synchro mesh. Makes it smoother. Gets smoother after about 15k miles to. If it still feels notchy in all gears clutch is dragging to some extent or syncros are worn. Can also use amsoil.
