Default 2.5 rock krawler max travle

So I'm about to pull the trigger on the 2.5 rock krawler max travel kit or the stock mod. I'll disconnect maybe a hand full of time a year since it's still my dd and stay connected on lighter trails. My only concern is if my stock driveshaft would be up to the task. I'll be running 33 bfgs till next summer then I'll step up to 35s. I have a four door auto. Just looking for any info from any one who's ran this set up. Thank you.

I have the 2.5 max travel and love it i am running 37s. I go offroad every chance i get. As for the drive shaft you will need one but if your not going to disco you will be fine for a while. When disco it hits the tranny and will rip the boot i know cause it happened on my 09. If your just going to do some medium trails i would just wait and see if you rip it then replace its not like when you rip it you have to replace the next day. I just ordered a front drive shaft with spicer joints for my 2012 for 385 shipped. The Rock Krawler stuff is bad ass if your on a budget you can just get the 2.5" stock mod and upgrade the arms later.

Kyle, post a pick from the rti ramp and you can really see how far the kit will droop with proper shocks. Just a thought, if he stays with shorter travel shocks to limit his droop will that effectively protect his boot from contact?

I was runing 35s on stock suspension and wheels for over a year. The only problem i ever saw was when the wheels were at full turn. Solve this by makeing wider turns or buying new wheels.

I'm currently running the Max Travle system with after market wheels. I've driven connected and unconnected offraod and have had zero problems with my driveshafts. Mine is a two door so our angles may be different.

Mark thanks for the info to hopefully I'll be as lucky. As for the shocks I'm going with blisten 5100s or the fox shocks. I've heard good things about both.

You will be fine even if its ripped. I ran mine on my 09 ripped for about 6 months or more only had a problem when Hurricane Irene cam through was having to much fun driving on flooded closed roads but forgot about my boot 1 month later started to make some noise.

I am also running a 1.25 rough country body lift. The shocks are blistein 5100. They are a little stiff but they are good for now. The Rk stuff is very well built.
