Default Any one painted or dyed their interior plastic?

Has anybody had good results painting the interior plastic in a vehicle? My door plastic is so faded it looks like it was dusted with baby powder. The dash and center console look fine. I have seen some painted and dyed interiors look fantastic, but I wonder how long they look like that. Does the dye or paint hold up well, or
scratch right off?

Ive seen Duplicolor and SEM results, which all look great when just finished. What concerns me is how it will look in a year.

Thanks!

A lot of people are using a thing called plastic dip. I have used kyrlon fusion plastic specific spray paint on all my interior and plastic parts for a while. It's been good for my uses.

I would just replace it and then keep it treated with UV protectant. Mine are original and look brand new.

went kyrlon over valspar (platic) paint only because the color was right
