Default XD addict wheel owners

Just got my black XD addict wheels, love the wheels but kinda disappointed in the plastic fake nuts/bolts.

Have any of you addict owners pulled them out and maybe replace with a small black plug or black silicone? Im seriously thinking about doing that as I find the plastic kind of tacky.

thx

Seriously?...... They got plastic on them? Uhhhh.....I was thinking of getting these for my Jeep, but at the same time I am trying to get away from all the plastic crap the manufacturers just have to put on everything just to be cheap. I don't blame you for finding the plastic tacky...I would want to fix that too.

yea... I'm going to pull them out but am afraid to damage the black paint. Hoping someone else on here has done it successfully.

I guess a set of big pliers and maybe a towel to protect the paint will do it.

I haven't pulled mine yet. But someone on here did and replaced em with grade 8 stainless steel bolts. It can be done. They said its a pita tho. I didn't even realize they were plastic. I think mine are metal....

Yeah I was thinking of getting these, but if they have plastic on them I'm gonna pass. Good luck with the fix.

I was a little upset when i got mine also to find out they were plastic. I want to get some rock rings or something made and bolt them in.

They have cleaned up well and maintained a good finish. Only had them 3,000 miles or so, but very happy.

yea I was considering the black RR wheels like you got but ultimately went with addicts. I think once I remove those plastic pieces the addicts will look real good.
