Jeep CJ mirrors on our JK for doors-off driving?
Has anyone done it?
I like the "old-school look" of the CJ square mirrors and assimetrical mounting arms.. wondering if anyone has been able to successfully transplant them to a JK..

I mounted Harley mirrors on mine. CJ mirrors should be no problem!

Yep... I have a link to your install and that kind of install is on my short list. But I am looking for something a little larger than the small Harley mirrors if I can find something to mount that way.
I think he made that bracket from a door hinge.. I've been looking all over for that write-up but have yet to find it. Maybe we'll get a link to it, now!
Could you post a picture looking straight on from the front?
As is always asked when we discuss mirror relocation, how is the passenger side visibility with these?

Yes, they're the RR ones. I'll try to find a pic from the front, but I don't have them mounted right now since its winter. The passenger side has way more visibility than relocating the factory mirrors to the A-pillar since you can swing the mirrors where you want. I got them because I often run with Body Armor safari doors and the TJ style mirrors that mount to them really suck. They shake like crazy no matter how tight the bolts are mounted. These RR mirrors are perfect.
Those are in my top three choices.. Not crazy about any of the options that are true Quick Release as it only makes it easier for thieves to release them quickly.. but I might be able to modify them to make them more secure. I want to do away with the stock mirrors on my full doors so i don't have to change back and forth so what-ever I end up with will be a full-time mirror.
I installed them on my Yj. I just marked where the holes go and drilled. I'm not sure how they would look on a JK, not to mention the fact that they tend to rust out after a few years.
