Default Quadratec Logo Sliding Armrest Console Organizer

Anybody have one? I currently have the rugged ridge one, but the extra storage would be nice!

My wife bought it for me the week they came out. So far I love it. Alot higher than the armrest pad I had before, which is better for me. Only draw back is that is no way to lock it, so if you open the armrest tub you have to hold this piece closed or anything in it will fall out into the back floor board.

installed and in the far back position

Pushed all the way to the front

Opened

It looks good, but I am afraid I would hit my elbow against the hinge

Correct, which does suck because of having to hold it closed when you lift it up to get to the factory armrest storage and in the summer when doorless you can't keep anything in it.

Thanks Pigpen, gave me enough information to make my decision. I do to must doorless driving to have something that dosn't keep itself closed when opened.

Do you think I could take it apart, and put the hinge to the rear, but still keep it sliding forward?

How does it slide back and forth? Is there a latch? Out you just push on it? Does it ever move when you don't want it to? I assume I could modify and add a click tour latch... Even if its non locking, that would be ok with me.

Thanks got posting, and thanks for your help!

Possible, the frame attaches to your stock armrest, then the box on top is attached to a plate that slides in the frame. You could possibly reassemble to make it slide forward but with the hinge in the rear.

How does it slide back and forth? Is there a latch? Out you just push on it? Yes, it sort of "sticks" as in you have to want to move it but no "clicks" or anything, it does not ratchet out. Does it ever move when you don't want it to? Not yet, I do fear that over time though it could start to slide forward on down hill stops and what not as it is used more and could possibly become lose on the rails. I assume I could modify and add a click tour latch... Even if its non locking, that would be ok with me.
