Default Rear JK Bumper Suggestions

I am going to replace my stock rear bumper and would like to hear what everyone thinks about the following:

1) Mount the spare (35" x 17 x 70) on the rear door and go with a standard type bumper. Will the door handle this size tire?

2) Go with a bumper and tire carrier like the Smittybuilt SRC Rear bumper part #76622

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I plan on going with the bumper tire carrier combo , those factory hinges will probaly not last as long as you would hope. Plus you can ad different stuff to the tire carrier . I think one day I would like to have my tailgate hinged on the bottom - good luck

Default Rear bumper

I would definitely go with the bumper tire carrier combo. I was wheeling this weekend and a guy that did not have one bent his tailgate pretty bad. With a 35 on there you will need it anyway. Body Aromor has a pretty sweet one and you get rock sliders free right now with the purchase of rear bumper tire carrier.
