Default Flowmaster axle back exhast

Any thoughts on this system. Looking for a better sound than "stock". Jeep is starting to look good but purrs like a kitten. Wants a little more growl.

Think Santa (aka my wife) may have bought this for me as it was on my list.

Had good luck with Flowmasters on other rigs. Anybody had experiences good/bad. Obviously not looking for huge powers gains just better sound.

im not familier with that model but i have the 44 off road and love it. one of my favorite mods, puts a smile on my face overtime i stat the jeep. i think it sounds nice and mean, not "fast and furious".

also the off road version is made with diamond plate steel so its stands up better to abuse from rocks

I have an 80 series on my jeep. I love the sound. I couldn't find a kit from Flowmaster, but a local shop put it in for me.

Howdy,
I went with a flowmaster 60 muffler and love it. It is deep sounding and has no interior drone. It is the only flowmaster made for a 6 cylinder engine. Have a goodun!!!!!!

I went with a FM 60 Series and the sound and drone were terrible (09 2 door auto). The muffler shop then put a 14" resonator mid-pipe (beside the canister) and the sound was better but the drone at 65 - 70 really was more than annoying. The shop then pulled the flowmaster and installed a stainless steel Magnaflow. It is exactly what I wanted. The sound is better than stock, seems to flow a little better (better throttle drivability not horsepower), and just generally meets my expectations. The flowmaster uses plates inside the muffler to redirect the exhaust flow and sound. The result, to me, is an echo-y sound that is not good. The 3.8 is not a good sounding engine to begin with. The wrong muffler can further exacerbate this and produce terrible drone and/or a ricey sounding rig.
