Default Rock Krawler HD Tie Rod, replacing Stock

Hey Guys,

I have a 2012 JKU Rubicon and I want to replace the Stock Tie Rod with something beefier as it keeps bending. I am running 33's with a leveling kit.

Is there any issue with this Tie Rod with just a small lift? Everything else in the front end is stock except for ARB Diff cover.

Thanks!

Default rod ends..

ok, kevlar is exactly right. you should just go with the MOOG ends, PN ES194R ...rockauto.com has them for $49 bucks apiece (i just ordered mine) STOCK tie rod ends do not work with this tie rod. the ones you need look just like your drag link end at the pitman arm.

I think the MOOG are backordered the Chrysler version work well. However do your internet search and get a good price them bring the printout to your jeep dealer and they will match your price.

I got some a couple of weeks ago, but who knows now. OEM have no grease zerks where my Moog's do. Part number ES 3624.

The RK tie rod is plenty beefy, but as mentioned, you will need tie rod ends. The RK tie rod must be removed from the knuckle in order to adjust it. I was considering the RK, but went another route because of that, and got an aftermarket tie rod that has the ends included and is adjustable while installed.

I love this tie rod. I have the steel one and it is beefy as hell. Since its installation, I have not had to recenter my steering after wheeling like the stock one did. I've bashed it on rocks all summer and my steering is true and straight. Like mentioned above, it uses drag link ends. And get Moogs cuz they're greasable.
