So I'm getting ready to order all sorts of expensive/heavy goodies and it's just me and the dog and she's not real good with the delivery people! So anyone have any experience with having your stuff shipped to another location for pick up. I just don't have a clue where to start. I have googled my butt off but I'm sure I'm not wording it right!

If it's being shipped FedEx or UPS... I believe you can option to pick it up at any participating FedEx location or UPS Store.

 

If you are ordering bumpers and items like that, most will ship something like Fedex Freight. They basically called a few days before the shipment was to arrive to set up a time window (10-2 in my case). The guy on the truck called me the day of when he got close, and I just met him at my house. Worked out pretty well. I ordered all my stuff from David at Northridge 4x4. Can't beat free shipping!

 

If you are close to a UPS location just have the vendor ship to you as "Hold for Pick-Up" at the UPS location. You can do the same thing if it is coming freight.

Since I am a college student and don't have tools or a place to work on things I ship them to a buddies house. His mom is always home and no attack dogs
