Default Brake upgrade... Any opinions will help

So i've noticed my brakes seem to be getting more and more week. Last time i changed my pads my rotors were machined and i was told next brake change they ntb replaced. They were changed less that a year ago and already it seems there due again. Driving home over the holidays i almost re-ended some a-hole who decided to make a last minute turn. When i hit the brakes my jk shaked like crazy and it seemed like the rotor was just slipping thru the pads... So after this scare the wife gave me the instant go ahead on the purchase of a brake uprgrade! What are some routes you all have gone? I cant really afford the terraflex kit on my military pay check! I was looking at purchasing the power stop kit from one of the vendors but wanted to hear yall's inpute. Thnx in adavance...

I have the Teraflex big brake kit up front and Powerstop pads and rotors in rear and can say it really helps stopping with 35"s and holds strong off road. With the TF master cylinder, it feels like stock, but brakes much much better. Pads barely worn after 5K miles, including towing. I know you commented on affordability, but what is safety worth? I would hope TF is reading this and will give you a discount for your service!

Its not just the 35's, that are causing your brake to fail premature, its the combination of 18's and 35's. Rotational mass is super heavy here. Anything close to a stock brake is most likely going to fail prematurely unless you start driving extremely light footed. If you can, combine braking with engine braking. Your gears will help you.
