Default Ball joints are ballin

I have an 08 JK 2 door lifted with 35s all around. I am hearing some front end noise during certain maneuvers and from what I am guessing the problem is ball joints. They are the original OEM and I have over 50 K on them. I do not want to reinstall the stock joints due to the fact that I have read they suck. I am looking for an upgrade and would like to hear some opinions. I am not a heavy duty wheeler but I do enjoy going out into the woods, mud etc but I dont want to break the bank.

I am not for sure the name, but if you do a quick search you will see that most upgrade to a more heavy duty ball joint...

Always remember...search function is your friend!!

The first thing I would do is check the ball joints for excessive play. They are probably worn but no sense in replacing them if they are not.

Like was said above, I would make sure that is your acual problem. If there is play and you decide to replace them I will recommend MOOG. This is the brand I run. There are other good ball joints out there but I prefer this brand. They will run you about $105 each.

Thanks for the input everyone. I will do the checks first and then look for what you suggested

if you're ball joints are in fact bad and, if you can afford it, i would highly recommend that you upgrade to dynatrac pro steers. they are hands down the best you can buy and will most likely be the last set you buy too.
