I just have a quick question. I have a rubicon 4 door with stock rubicon tires and wheels and the smittybilt xrc fenders. I got a 3" front 2" rear pro comp lift for Christmas. With that size lift will my jeeps tires look ridiculously small? I plan on upgrading soon but in the meantime I'd like some feedback on if anyone has seen this and how it looks. Just give me your opinions.
Thanks in advance!

Get everything ready and just have them all put on at the same day/week =] I am doing the same! Be sure to take a before and after picture.

Won't look bad at all. I ran a TeraFlex 3" lift for over a year with my stock Rubi wheels and tires before getting 35s. I actually ended up with 4-5" lift because I don't have heavy bumpers or other heavy items the 3" plans for. I would recommend wheel spacers though. Pushing the wheels out that extra 1.5" helps the 32" stock wheels fill out the wheel wells.

you might need the spacers anyways if you do the lift and run stock wheels and tires for a while. Others can chime-in here, but I thought there was clearance issues with the suspension once lifted if you don't adjust your backspacing?

To answer your question though - Go for it! Install what yo have now and just slap some wheels and tires on later!

i just finished my lift on my '12 unlimited sport. teraflex 2.5" coils with 1" teraflex spacers up front. i also put on 1.5" wheel spacers on the front at the same time. i heard about clearance issues also, but installed it all at the same time so i can't say for myself. i dont think the stock tires look too small, but i definitely see 35's in my near future.

I lifted my '11 sport last week and I think it looks good. Definitely ready for the 35s though.

Mine has an OME 2+ inch (it's really ~3 inches compared to stock at the same weight), and I think it looks and handles fine with the stock rubi wheels and tires.

I purchased my lift and wheels and am waiting for my tires before I lift mine... IMHO the tires look small for the lift. Of course I didn't consider the wheel spacer option which may make a noticable difference.

Good luck with your decision...

i would just put the lift on now, i lifted mine 2 1/2 expecting it to look terrible and it wasn't that bad. I guy i work with also has a 3.5" lift with the stock rubicon tires and it actually looks alright too.

I think I've met you at an IFO before. You're friends with Jamie (grphx) and Tony and a few of my friends I believe. Anyway, congrats on the purchase! We've been going wheeling lately, so if you'd like to join, let me know!

I agree with what you said though, it makes sense to take care of it all at once, especially if you're able to.
