Question Can I swap wheels with my '97 TJ?

So it goes like this:

'08 stock JKU needs tires, but waiting on lift (no sense in buying 31's and needing 33's the following week).
Long trip planned, *may* not get lift and tires done in time.
'97 stock TJ in driveway, has wheels and tires (pretty sure 31's as well), and isn't getting much drive-time since the JK.

Can I swap wheels and tires with the TJ? I know the TPMS will complain, of course, but other than that? Same bolt pattern? Something I'm missing?

TIA

The bolt pattern is different, you would need adapters.

To be more specific the TJ has a 5x4.5 pattern and the JK has a 5x5 pattern

Bolt pattern is not the same. '07 and newer use a 5x5 pattern and all the earlier Jeeps use a 5x4.5 pattern. You can buy adapters, but I would suggest just waiting a little bit for your new items to get in.

Dang. And here I thought I was about to be brilliant.

Thanks for the info, though.
