Need help, Just order JKU sport yesterday and trying to get the right profile. I was planning to go with 33" tires and 17 x 9 or 10 wheels. I was thinking about a teraflex 2.5 left kit with coil springs and shocks.
I don't want to look like a roller skate. This will be a DD. Please send pictures. My JK is an auto with 3.73 gear ratio, (Dana 44 rear, Dana 30 front). Just read a thread about 4.10's being hard to get. I was thinking about rear gearing this summer if I needed to. Will the 4.10's become more available with this new 4.6L engine or am going to have to change the front axle to go to that gear. I was looking at the chart and it seemed that the 4.10 was better for highway driving giving better MPG for 33" to 35" tires.
With the above said, I am new to all this so, I am ready to be schooled. Thanks to all.

Can't go wrong with the TF 2.5" coil lift. Might want to research some others just to get an idea of what's out there. Rock Krawler and OME have some solid offerings. Your axle will be offset to an extent towards the passenger side, so you might want to look at an adjustable front track bar. The RK kit comes with it, the TF kit does not. I think OME is ala carte. Your castor will be off a bit, which might cause a flighty feeling when driving. Not always, but sometimes. A set of front lower control arms will assist in eliminating that.

I wouldn't worry about a re-gear if you have a 2012 with the 3.6 with 33" tires. Won't be necessary. You should have plenty of power. Here's mine with an RK 2.5" lift and 34" Nitto Trail Grapplers.

Good luck!

I started a similar thread a week or so ago, see: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...have-with-33-s

I'm getting ready to buy my lift, will probably get it within a month.

The Rock Krawler 2.5 Max is a strong contender for me: http://www.northridge4x4.com/proddet...od=RK-RKJK25MT

Teraflex and Rubicon Express are also being considered because that's what the local shops seem to carry. None of them seem to want to get the RK lift.

33's are probably better for a DD, 35's are better if you plan to wheel it a lot. You definitely don't need to re-gear for the 33's. 35's with 3.73 gears on the 2012 seems to not need a re-gear.

I have a 2011 JKU Sport with 2 inches of lift and 305/65-17 (33x12.50) BFG AT KO's. The wheels are 17x9 Eagle 197's with 4.5 inches of backspacing.
