lift question
Hi this problem has probably been asked before, but I want to lift my unlimted about an inch maybe 2 inch's ,I am not going to be doing really hardcore offroading mainly beach and a bit in the bush no major rock crawling, is it worth installing new suspension to increase the ride height or can I get away with a body lift, as I dont mind the ride quality of standard suspension. and what will I sacrifice with just a body lift
I would do a bidget boost if it was myself. I personally do not like the way a body lift looks, also by doing a suspension lift you will get new shocks, and these will give you a better ride.

Most BB's are about the same, Teraflex has a great kit, also Rubicon Express, there are alot of others out there , but these seem to be alot of peoples favorites. Not dissin nobody elses, these are just ones I've seen, used or rode in.
To clarify -
The BL will not change your ride height...your ground clearance will be the same, all you would have done is raise the cab an inch above the frame...that's all a BL does.
The ADVANTAGE to the BL, is that it will allow your TIRES to have more room, so you could up your tire size by ~ 2", and still have stuffage room, as the BL raised the wheel wells.

So - while the BL didn't improve your ground clearance in of itself, it DID ALLOW you to increase your ground clearance by 1", due to the 2" taller tires...and THAT ground clearance is for the entire truck, axles and all, not just the frame as a suspension lift would do.
The taller tires also have a longer footprint, and more flotation/traction, than the smaller diameter tires. They also improve approach, breakover and departure angles for you...in addition to raising the axles/diffs.
So - a 1" BL is not a bad choice for a low budget improvement....and, can be combined with the afore mentioned BB's, which are primarily 2.0 - 2.5" coil spacers...which pick the frame up, further improving approach, breakover and departure angles for you...but leave the axles/diffs at the same height.
