Default Lift and rake measurments

I am wondering how people are measuring their lifts and the amount of rake? Trying to get some good ideas on how to make sure that my jk is level on all four corners when I install my OME 2" sometime soon. I don't really have a level surface to measure from. Thanks guys

Just take a measurement from the ground to the base of the frame rail next to the lower control arm mounts front and rear. Whatever the difference is, that's what you would add. I should note that some rake is desirable though and a completely "physically" level Jeep tends to look nose up.
