Default Connectivity Group

Can someone shed some light on the connectivity group option?
I see that it includes a,
-remote usb port
-Uconnect voice command 'w' bluetooth
-electronic vehicle information center

I suppose my first question is where is the remote usb port located?

What does the electronic vehicle info center include?

When selecting the media center 430n or 730n the details include the words "optional"
for Uconnect and a remote usb port. Does this refer to the connectivity group option or is it included with the media center option?

Just want to see if the $385 option is worth the features. Or possibly others can post some input on the value of this option. Thanks

I got the connectivity option with the sport model. I think my only option was the lower head unit. In my opinion, the cost is worth it. The USB port is in the center console. The uconnect allows you to play stuff from your ipod through your stereo with all control being at the head unit. You dont have to mess around with changing songs or volume on the ipod this way. Also, it allows you to use a bluetooth phone for hands free operation. The other things it does I cant really comment on because I dont really use it for anything but my phone and ipod. I know you can tell it to change stations, and make calls for you, text for you, and even stream music through bluetooth.

It is worth it.

Its not included with the 430N but in my opinoin is mandatory regardless of which radio you get just for the steering wheel controls. I have the 430N

Uconnect is optional for both systems. I bought my jeep with the 730 and have the uconnect. The remote USB is in the center console. It is worth it in my opinion just to have voice control and to have the steering wheel mounted controls. Information is displayed on the odometer display when using the gps and also music. What's another 400 bucks at this point!

Yeah I think I will order it when its time. I just checked out a wrangler on the lot and saw the usb hidden in the console. I wonder how that would work with an aftermarket unit.

Worth it. I actually went through hell trying to locate a jeep with the only options being the connectivity group, hard top, sahara steps, and the 24s package. Plugging my iPod in and controlling it with the head unit is well worth all the hassle i had.

Totally worth it for safety of steering wheel radio controls. The dash vehicle info center is great too. The bT is good for listening to Conf calls...not so good for other people hearing you clearly.

I've had my jeep for a few months now and had no idea I could control my IPod like that. Is that only with the nav system one or what? I don't really know the model of the one I have but I have the USB and Bluetooth and all that.
