Default Dynatrac ball joints and RCV axles rub together?

I recently purchased a Prorock 44 with RCV axle shafts and dynatrac ball joints and ran into a problem. Right away we noticed that the red boot on the RCV axles shaft was pressed quite hard against the dynatrac ball joint ONLY on the passenger side hard enuff that we could not even make it rotate. We called Dynatrac and they said it was a well known problem and to either trim the boot or let it self clearance itself.

I dont mind trimming the boot to allow clearance as long as this does not effect the warranty!

Has anyone ran into this problem or have hear of this? I have reads SOOO many threads on many forums and not one time have i heard of this problem? I would just like to hear that others have done this too and everything worked out just fine!

Thanks so much for posting that thread. I guess when I was buying the axles I was not specifically looking for this problem. I was just looking at the general information about the axles. Thanks again for sure.

Same here, been running my PR44 with pro steer joints and RCVs for almost a year, I let it self clearance since the contact was minimal, no problems with it at all.
