Default Chrome or Aluminum Wheels?

I live in the snow belt and plan to run the tires year round. Should I even consider chrome wheels? I have been told different things depending on how clean you keep the wheels. But I would rather error on the side of not having problems, if there is any question at all. Thanks.

If they salt the roads around where you live then I would not suggest running chrome wheels. Stick to the aluminum one's and keep them clean. Just my 2 cents......

Are you looking at chrome aluminum or steel wheels?
A quality chrome aluminum wheel will hold up much better then any polished aluminum wheel in the salt and snow.
Just look at all the factory chrome wheels on cars today....they hold up just fine and wash really easy if you dont let them get too bad.
How many factory polished wheels do you see? None, and there is a reason for it, they require much more maintenance to keep them nice.
Salt will pit up bare polished aluminum really fast if you dont keep them clean and polished all the time with some kind of product.

Ive had polished wheels before, on a show car, and I wouldnt run them on anything else. One time in the rain and I had to spend hours just to get them polished up again.
If you dont mind them looking slightly dull, then its not that bad I guess, but I liked mine looking almost like chrome, which was a pita

Now if you get clear coated polished wheels, thats a different story. They will hold up better, but if you get a cheap wheel, the clear coat may peal or flake off over time.

Chrome steel wheels have a chance of rusting if not kept clean, but will still be easier to wash and keep looking nicer for at least a couple years.

Ive owned them all, and if you plan on wheeling your Jeep, Ive got to say my favorite is powder coated. Ive beat the crap out of mine with sticks, rocks, mud, you name it......it just washes right off with soap and water, looking like new again

Default Regearing and the warranty

Does anyone know how regearing affects the lifetime powertrain warranty?

Probably won't be an issue unless you have a problem that they can trace back to the gears being changed.

Default Warranty

Running a 6 spd with 35s and lots of extras and added weight. Thinking about regearing from 3.21 to 4.88. Already getting horrible mileage which I think is because of the lack of power. I'd love to have more power but will regearing help my milagge, reduce it further or keep it the same. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

holy crap, I've got 3.21's in mine with 32" tires...and mine's a 2door. I couldn't imagine having 35's with the crappy 3.21's...RE-GEAR!! And then let me know how it goes so I can do it!
