Default If you modified your seats with Katzkins.... do you like them? Post Pics Please!

Hello,

I trying to figure out what the big deal is with the Katzkin Leather vs. Factory Leather. My jeep came with heated cloth seats, but I don't like the print.. so I am upgrading to leather. The dealer tells me only the Katzkin are available as an add on, and the dealer's cost is $1395!

Isn't that what you pay if you order your jeep with Katzkin, and why are the factory leather seats $900 vs. $1395?

Is it worth this kind of dinero for these seats?

Post pics please and tell me about your experiences?

How much did you pay for yours?

Thanks,
Jacob

Now my dealer tells me I can have the Katzkins in Black added to my jeep front and back in lieu of a $1000 incentive (rebate) I was supposed to get.

Is this worth it?

Thanks,
Jacob

If it's $1000 installed then it's a fair price. I paid $750 inc shipping for red+black custom Katzkin seat covers for 4-door JK for me to install... They're still sitting in box though....

Thanks Westchester!

I'm leaning towards it. I just wish I had a choice of alternate stitching etc... of course If I had a choice, I'd probably be leaning towards all black anyways, as I feel a different color stitching would show dirt fast.

I do have heated seats, and I don't know the first thing about changing seat covers....

Dealer said there are some sensors in the seat that you have to have a qualified tech address?

You dealer is just a great salesman. There i a sensor in the passenger seat for airbag options. If the weight is not high enough passenger bag wont fire. They are under the foam. Main thing to watch out for is the wiring. Just unplug the seats take them out and do them on the ground. Little bit of hairdryer to soften the leather and it will go right on. I live in az so i just let the kits sit in the sun for 10.2 seconds. Its really simple just need to be patient to get the covers over they are snug.

I'll try and get some pics
I ordered my Katzkins from the dealer ($800) and installed them my self, I ordered the all black without any
Jeep name on them. If you have front seat side airbags you have to specify that when ordering.

I really like the leather, they took me all weekend to install but worth it.

that said, If I could have ordered mine with the all black leather, I would have gone that route.
the all black was not available in August when I ordered mine and I did not like the Tan/Black combo.

I would say for $1000 installed is a good deal.

I bought Katskins from dealer on my new JK. I didn't like the factory pattern either.

My JK didn't come with heated seats.

Dealer said they will charge me their cost. It was $1,000 installed including adding heated seats.

I wanted custom piping, which costs $75.00 more -
