Default Do i need upper control arms with 4in lift?

I have a 4in rough country lift on a 08 jk unlimited and I want to buy adjustable lower control arms and just wanted to know if I need the uppers too

You only need the lowers.

You only need the lowers for the front and uppers for the rear . The front is more critical to correct driveabliliy.

They do basically the same thing, but in front, lowers are the better option, and in back, uppers are the better option. Having both sets on the same end will allow you to fine tune and also allow you to move the entire axle forward backward in the wheel well.

Try it with front lowers only and see what you think. You can always add uppers later if you want more adjustment.

This is the problem I'm having the tire is getting into the rocker guard

Chop it some more, add more bumpstop, or add both sets of arms to move the axle.
