Oxygen Sensor and fuel economy?
Hey all....I've been driving around with my engine light on for probably over a year now. When I did the quick key diagnostic back then it said it was the oxygen sensor. I really haven't looked again or had time to fix it. Does anybody know if the fuel economy suffers when one or more of them are bad? My mileage hasn't been that different, but not quite like it used to be either. Then again it has 78k on it now without anything being done to it too, except the warranty work when new. When have most of you guys done a tune up, and what about these damn oxygen sensors....how hard are they to replace as I sure as hell don't want to take it anywhere to have them do it, or have a tune up done either?
Thanks....
Thanks....
fuel economy can suffer from what I've read.
but I have no real world experience since mine has not failed.
I would get it fixed. it is prolly jacking up your air/fuel mix from the computer
which could cause worn parts.
