I need help building up a stock Jeep!!!
My wife just purchased a new car so I was able to keep her 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport as my new toy and want to install a 4" lift on it with 35" tires. What do yall recommend? I don't want to spend an arm and a leg doing it. I would like to spend $3500 or less for lift, tires and rims. I would use it in the mud mostly around the house, but would like to travel up North with it at some point.

I have my eye on a set of Pro Comp Series 7069 Flat Black rims. Will the 4 3/4" backspacing work with the a 4" lift and 35" tires? Anyone have pictures of these rims installed on their jeep?

Get a 3" Full traction economy from Northridge for $600, throw in an adjustable rear trackbar for $150, Billstein 5100s for $325. That is all you need in a lift and it will net you 4" and provide excellent flex. Example in the picture. The only difference in my rig and what I just laid out for you is that I ahve TF adj control arms. You will also need quick discos since it is a sport.

And also if your going to be playing in the mud a lot, your better off spending money on some good recovery gear before a lift. But new tires wouldn't hurt either.

I have a 2 door and went with the TF 2.5 coils and shocks from Northridge $676 shipped....best price I could find at the time.
ATX Artillery wheels with 325/60/18 Nitto Terra Graps.....not so aggressive on the tread pattern is quiter on the street and lasts longer......5 of those were right at 2500 mounted balanced, aligned, and installed with the stinking Nitro Plan that all of the dealers do now....do something similiar to that and you still have a few hundered to add lights or something cool.
I have since ordered the OR-Fab sport cage in case of a roll over....plus it looks pretty cool....that is supposed to be here next Friday.....that also from David @ Northridge....I will eventually go to a smaller wheel and more aggressive, taller tire.....not especially happy with the tire/wheel pkg. Plus I am a little more into the wheeling than I thought I would be.....

600 for lift
325 for shocks
150 for rear trackbar
300 for front lower control arms
80 for discos
150 for procal (speedo & steering wheel)
=1605
That comes in 95 under AEV but no high steer kit and no rear trackbar mount bracing.
Recovery gear is a great investment when you need it, but if one of your wheelin buddies ahs one, you can put it off. If not, I agree it is needed quickly
