anoying clicking noise
Before I say anything plz know I wasn't thinking before I did this. I went wheeling yesterday and went through a large puddle. At a speed of 8 mph and it stopped in the water. Water level was up to my doors. It wouldn't start even in four low. I got pulled and and checked everything. The air filter was soaked so I took it out and it looks like water got in the throttle body. I towed it a few feet an popped the clutch. And it started. Poorly but it started. A lot of exhaust smoke and of noises. Now it runs but has an annoying clicking noise. All the pulleys look good and not making noise. Any ideas. I just changed the oil and air filter. The oil was very milky.
I hate to say it, but you may have bent a connection rod. Hard to say without hearing it, though.
Is the oil milky at all, now that you have changed it? Any sign of water on the dip stick?
edit to add:
Does the clicking sound change when you step on the clutch?

Good. If it goes away with the clutch pressed while your motor is running or reving it you should be ok.
Water on the throwout bearing will toast it. Sounds to me like its in the bellhousing given you saying it goes away when the clutch is pressed.
Grab a screwdriver and stick the metal end on the oil pan then bellhousing putting ur ear on the rubber end of the screwdriver should hear where it is louder. This is the cheap mans stethascope
