Default JE Real Vs Rubicon Express Drive shafts?

Hey All,

Just finished my 2 Dr JK lift install and thought of ordering a set of new drive shafts.

Current new lift 3.5 ( Rubicon Express - Extreme Short arm )

Whats the difference between JE & RE drive shafts?

Do i need to order the front & rear? or Just the rear?

By the way i feel the rear sits a little bit low, i think the warn needs to be replaced with something lighter. Or is it sitting right?

Looks very nice! You will not find an after market bumper that is light. They are all heavy. If you think it is low in the back then get yourself a 1/2" or 1" teraflex spacer to get the height back.

Will i need to change the shocks? The only spacers i have found are all above 1.5" and by putting spacers i thought that would cause the coil springs stress or am i wrong ?

Well, the spacer is just compensating for the spring being compressed...the axle will not droop further, or compress up higher, with the spacer..it just adjusts the ride height.

If the coil was too long, so full uptravel / compression could collapse the coil, and then bend the coil, then the spacer could cause damage....with the same axle travel.

Most people do not have coils that long...but, you could look at the fully compressed coil length (height), and see how much room you have...if you have a couple of inches to spare, then the spacer can't hurt.

Does anyone have a lower to upper coil bucket distance during full stuffage?

Looks good....
As for it sitting low in the back, you could just get a Warn winch, and that would level it right out

I know that rubicon express also offers .75" spacers that are designed to level out the stance.

I agree !! The rear appears to be drooping and spacers SHOULD fix it!

Awesome looking JEEP by the way!!
