Ok ....so I'm in my Jeep and I notice a slight funky smell coming from the AC.....I can live
With it. ( it's a jeep)
.... But to make a long story short the smell has gotten worse.
I was seriously thinking some of the neighborhood kids put a dead shrimp in the AC for a few days.....but then I noticed there is no water dripping from the condensate drain.
No problem , i figure ill just pop it back open with a piece of wire or something.... But I can't seem to locate it? Or find any diagrams......
Help!!!!!! I can't live with ass smelling air conditioner.
Everybody that rides with me is giving me that "Did you shit yourself?" look.
I'm not sure which is worse the smell or the embarrassment when a passenger gets in.

you try swapping out the cabin air filter????

 

No.....but I sprayed the crud out of it with Lysol.

 

they aren't expensive, try swapping it out?

I'll try that too, but there's still no water draining from the condensate drain. Any one know where it is on the JK? It's not in the same place as the TJ's.

 

Does anyone know what that "Cabin Filter" is called (by pass filter? recirculation filter? ) or does anybody have a part number......I got the condensate drain back open...(cloged with mud by the way) but the little cabin filter thingy smells like wet gym socks + butt + bad breath + throw up + fart + wet dog + feet + dead critter and just a hint of rotten sea food.....no matter how much lysol you spray on it.

( and which by the way......... lysol only makes it smell like wet gym socks + butt + bad breath + throw up + fart + wet dog + feet + dead critter and just a hint of rotten seafood with a tiny pinch of lysol.)

I can tolerate everything and nothing bothered me ....crappy gas mileage, rough ride, noisy interior, slow acceleration, crappy 3.8l, through it all.........but I would hate to have to sell my Jeep because it stinks!!... HA HA Pun intended.

I could live with the smell even......but the embarrassment of having to tell the ladies....." No ...I didn't shit myself" is the last straw.

God please let summertime get here! At least then I can take the doors and top off.

Maybe I should get a dog and then I could blame it on him....

I'll Post some picks in a few....if you dont know what I'm talking about.
