Default Ome shocks here, now what?

So my ome nitrochargers (for 2-2.5" lift) arrived today. I plan to install my self but have never done this. Currently I'm running the 2" aev bb with extension brackets and plan to remove the brackets and run these in the oem mount. The install seems pretty straight forward, however the shocks are compressed and I have no experience with gas shocks. Do I install top first then release the shock to reach the bottom oem bracket? Will these things explode in to full extension? I don't wanna get my teeth knocked out. Thanks, if anyone is on Greenville sc this weekend and wants to help beer is on me

I would assume 2" longer for the 2 " lift? Is it less?

Install the tops first. The hardest part is undoing the top nut on the fronts. Other than that it's really easy. One trick is to put something through the bolt hole and then push it out out with the stock bolt. It will keep the shock in the correct postion while you reinstall the bolt.

Mine are 1 inch longer (fully extended). They are also are a bit shorter than stock fully collapsed.
