Default Switching to 9/16 bolts, need torque wrench help...

Hey guys. I'm planning to install my 9/16 hardware this weekend, and I need to go out and get a torque wrench to set everything properly. I ordered one off of amazon, but it is HUGE! It's like 2' long and I dont know how I am going to work with that thing under the Jeep. Are they all really big like this? Perhaps someone has a brand or model they recommend? It has been a while since I have used a torque wrench, but I recall them being smaller...

Half-inch drive TW's are long and sometimes you have be creative under the Jeep to get them to "fit", but you'll be glad it's as long as it is when you're torquing LCA and track bar bolts to 125 lb-ft.

you will have plenty of room. Your going to want that 2' long torque wrench. It takes a good amount of leverage to hit 125 ft lbs of torque

if you feel you need a little bit more room you could always go to autozone or any auto shop and buy some vehicle ramps to get the Jeep up off the ground a bit. I have ramps and when I did mine it gave me that extra 8 inchs/ish of room to make the job easier.

That's a good tip. I did that when I changed my diff fluid, I just have to drive out to my dads place to do that. I live in an apartment, so it pretty tricky to get the Jeep up on stands or ramps. They cut me a break when working on my Jeep since I usually dont have to lift it to do most stuff. Using jack stands and ramps seems to be where they draw the line

Wow....didn't realize putting a vehicle on ramps to change oil/ work on it was a big thing. Last time I checked this is America.

Makes me glad I have a house.
