Default Kentrol Stainless Steel Door Hinge Set

Does anyone have these or have any experience with these?
  • How well do they match up with the existing holes?
  • Are they built well?
  • How do they hold up?
  • Any problems, concerns, or recommendation you have to installing these?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks!

I would really like to put these on my Jeep but I want to make sure the quality is good first.

I put these on a tj tailgate hinge and they were great. The ones I pulled off weighed nearly nothing and even combined they weighed less than a single kentrol hinge. The worked well, didn't run into any problems or anything like that.

Exclamation I have my doubts

I bought these and hat the professionally installed. The first time I took the door off and put them back on the pin on the Passenger side popped up and I can't push it back in unless I take the door off. Now the pin moves easily with my hand. I took it back to the place of purchase and they are ordering new ones, in the meantime, the other pin on the passenger door is doing the same thing. Makes me wonder if the was a good choice or not. Everything seems to be aligned properly. They slide on and off easily but the pin for whatever reason pops up. My jeep is a 2014 and I purchased these because I was getting tired of having to replace the OEM because of rusting.

Just installed these (body hinges) like three weeks ago…
They have larger holes than stock which allows more adjustment, which could be good or bad depending on your application. They came with brass sleeves btw.

My need came out of the pins on the door hinges corroding so badly that some of them snapped and were being supported by a single pin.
So I ordered (aftermarket) door hinges at the same time. In addition I ordered plastic sleeves and “pin guides” that eliminate the torx security screws.

- This is where things became complicated -

Either the holes that receive the pins on the Kentrol body hinges are smaller in diameter than stock, or my aftermarket body hinges have larger diameter pins.
Either way I was unable to fit the aftermarket door hinges to the aftermarket body hinges with either Kentrol’s provided brass sleeves OR the aftermarket plastic sleeves I ordered.
So I’m currently running no sleeves.
