Default Help picking out an aftermarket clutch

I just burned out the clutch on my 07 wrangler. I am looking to replace it with a better aftermarket clutch if one exists. Does anybody have any recommendations and where to order it? I have the manual six speed and am running 35's.

I also just re-geared to 4.88's, is there anyway that could have caused this? I have less than 40k miles on my jeep. I also have that lifetime powertrain warranty from Chrysler I wonder if that will cover this?

Thanks in advance for the pointers and help. Also if there is anything else I should consider adding to help me avoid doing this again much that would be nice to know too.

If its replaced under warranty, you will get a stock mopar clutch. If not I would go with a Centerforce which will provide holding power and will be more durable

I just replaced my 08's clutch because the throw out bearing was shot and the clutch started to slip. Chrysler will NOT cover your clutch.
I ordered a centerforce dual friction clutch kit from Quadratec. I purchased a moog throw out bearing from the local auto parts store.
My clutch only had 68K miles on it. I have never replaced a clutch on any of my vehicles under 150K miles.

I used BadPumkin's write up https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...stall-Write-Up

I would highly suggest renting a transmission jack to make re-installation of the transmissions much easier.

Good Luck!

If your warranty covers your clutch, you had better put your dealership on your christmas list. Clutches are considered a normal wear and tear item and with 40k on it i dont think they will replace it. While 40k seems low for a jeep clutch ive heard of way lower and ive heard of people getting over 70k.

my friend runs a centerforce and loves it, the install isnt that bad and as long as you have or know of a machine shop to turn the flywheel i would do it yourself!
