Question 2.5" lift Kit for 2010 JKU ?

Looking at a few options for lifting my 2010 JKU.
I am running 16x8 whee's with 5 inch backspacing. Running 285/75 tires.

Like the Teraflex option but caveat states that you can't any more than 4.5 of back spacing.

AEV has a 2.5" kit that can accomodate 5.3" of backspace (per their engineers).

If I go with the Teraflex option, I will have to add 1.25" wheel spacers (which I really don't want to do).

Question: Are you running 5 inch of backspacing (or more) with a 2.5" Teraflex kit with out spacers? If so are you experiencing any problems.

You should be fine with the Teraflex 2.5" kit and your current wheels. and me personally, I would rather go with the Teraflex kit than the AEV kit. But that's just me.

Thanks for the input...spoke with the folks at teraflex and they indicate that it would be a problem (hence their 4.5" maximum backspace) warning. They state that the rear trackbar will fowl (against the back tires). Still have a hard time believing it would fowl...guess I shouldn't challenge the engineers though .

Check out the Rock Krawler Stock Mod 2.5" kit as well. Same price as the TF 2.5" kit. I just ordered mine yesterday so I don't have it installed and can't give any real advice. When I talked to them they said you wouldn't need the spacers, I ended up ordering them anyways because of the more aggressive look.

If you have any questions regarding our 2.5" Stock Mod. System, let us know. It is a great starting point to begin your build.
