Default Beefing up my winshield lights?

This may be a stupid question, but I've got two 55 watt lights on my windshield and I want to beef them up to 100 watts or even 150. Can I just replace the bulb inside with a higher wattage in the light and put a stronger fuse in?? Also I don't want to buy a whole different light bc I love the way mine look.
Thanks team!

You might need a heaver gauge wire to handle the extra draw.

^^^ Yep what he said

Also need to make sure the actual housing and lens can handle the extra heat.

The safest way to go is just buy new lights.

Sure. You just need heavier gauge wire. Bigger fuse. Heavier guage relay. New lamp socket to carry the additional load. New fixture shell designed to handle the heat. Then your done.

I don't really have the money to buy new lights either.

So basically, No. I can't.

Always try plugging in a better bulb, or cleaning the inside of the light to a more mirrored finish.

Wires and fuses are same from 55w to the 100w sets.

I'll give that a try. Worst case scenario I blow up a light. In my face.
