Default Aftermarket hoods

Does anybody have any suggestion on aftermarket hood. I currently have a mw3 hood in my garage waiting for paint but having second thoughts I like aev. With the vents. Any suggestions?

hands down, the aev hood is not only one of the nicest looking hoods out there but, being stamped steel, one of the nicest made. that's what i would get if i had the chance.

I have AVE hood with vents. And I like it a lot glad I got it. Looks n works great. It also stop the hood from blowing up when passing big trucks on highway like your hood about to blow off.

Fully agree... I got the AEV hood ... Amazingly built... Heavier gauge steel than OEM hood.

Also have the aev. I 2 toned my paint. Rescue green on matte black. Sitting at red lights and see all that heat come from the vents is always a good thing too. The aev snorkel is also not overly time consuming to install and take off so you dot have to run a snorkel all the time only when needed. Gotta love seeing other jeep owners turn heads too.

The short answer : Nothing will compare the quality, fit & finish as well as the longevity of the AEV hood.

a) the TMD Hood is over 1,000 $ while AEV (unpainted) is under 800 $
b) AEV hood is made of stamped steel that is of heavier gauge than OEM
c) TMD Hood is made of ABS / Plastic
d) Jeep endorses AEV hoods and accessories as OEM on limited edition Jeeps (That's how good they are)
e) TMD Hood fits is a pita to fit properly (if you do at all)

yeah, couldn't have said it better myself. i'm pretty sure i have seen all the aftermarket hoods to date and really, there is no comparison to the aev.

Wow, didn't know all that. I'm glad I mentioned it, I was kind of on the fence between the two. ABS? WTF?
