Duck and cover, here comes the "search the forum" deluge".

I ran 33's w/o a lift for a while cause I couldn't stand the crappy tires that came with mine, but it depends on how he drives it i guess.

we are running a 295/70/18 trail grappler stock now. Just need flat fenders to keep from grinding in a flex.

if he's willing to trim his fenders, he can clear 35's with the help of new wheels with less back spacing or 1.5" wheel spacers. some minor trimming would be required as well. otherwise, 33's are about as big as you can go and you may still need to do some trimming.

I also just bought a '12' sport 2 door and the local tire shop said that the below set up will fit with no mods:

XD Series Rockstar, Matte Black Wheels with Nitto Trail Grappler Tires

Size: LT285/65R18 Load E 10 Ply
Size: 18x9"

True or not?

Thanks...jason

I'm running 33's with RC 1.5" spacers with no lift, "0" rub.

It's my DD with a 45 min drive each way to work.

Oh, and I they live where it snows during the winter, DuraTracs are the only tire to look at for year round highway, muddy trails and ice and snow. I've got 50000 on mine and they still look new after two winters and one summer.

Ran Cooper STT 275/70R18 without spacers but
had to adjust turn stops. Very easy fix. Then ran with spidertrax spacers for a year before adding TeraFlex 2.5"coil lift w/shocks. Got 90,000 miles out of them.

I bought mine with 33's and no lift. It rubbed when flexing, bad. So I trimmed the fenders and there was minor rubbing. Then I did a 2.5" BB lift and they don't come close to rubbing even with it disconnected. I'm gonna replace them with 35's when they wear out and the way it looks now with it flexed out, they will fit just right.
