Default Smittybilt xrc bumper/tire carrier help!

Ok guys. I have the xrc front and rear but there is a problem. I don't have the tire carrier! Is there a kit that I can get to add the carrier on? I thought I saw one online for $200 where you drill in and put on the arm and latch on.. I could be wrong.. Any help? Ideas? Answers?

I'd hold out for this awesome teraflex one that's coming out shortly.

I have the XRC one currently, and it's already snagging a bit I feel like.

Thanks but I'm just trying to make my existing bumper a carrier. I'm 16 and broke so another bumper is out if the question for awhile until I do some other mods and finish my cj7.

Lucky for you, the TeraFlex one is a door mount and will work with the bumper as I understand:

Might be more expensive though :(

Very nice! Thank you. Can't wait for it to come out. In the meantime though. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

no there is no kit , i would say since you dont have the hinge it will be more of problem to try to install the hinge unless you got a welder buddy who could fab up a tire carrier off that bumper , best bet to do is sell that bumper and then get the tire carrier one

I was also thinking about the Smittybuilt XRC. Fortunately, I read on this forum guys that were having some real problems with the latch systems melding, and were having to lift up hard on the carrier to get it to close. So, before you go any further, you may want to review it a bit more. No sense in spending more time and energy on something you may very well be unhappy with. I have an entire page of manufacturers that I reviewed, and after I don't know how many hours of "decisions decisions", went with Rockhard. Good price, 1/4" steel, guaranteed not to snag, add ons rivaling Garvin but without the price. Of course someone else may come along and say " Rockhard, are you nuts!?" So, it's really a matter of what matches your needs and, in my case, your budget.

I've heard that about the XRC carrier too. I'm having a hard time deciding what to do about a rear carrier/bumper.

I have the Rear Xrc with the carrier. At first like everyone said it was unlatching and swinging open after some tuff bumps. But they have released a latch fix that fixed that and since installing it I have had no problems. Gotta admit it is a sick looking bumper though... If you can afford it sell yours and get the tire carrier one! Don't mess with those tailgate mount unless you plan on keeping that baby tire you have on there.. I don't think and I am sure many will agree
That the tail gate hinges will not last to long with a 35 or even a 33 on there

Just sent you a PM with a link, not the brand you are looking for, but I think it's the product you are looking for.
