Default Whats the correct gearing and cost???

I just put BFG A/T 285/75/16's on my 2011 sport 6 speed man. They sure look great! But now my jeep runs like crap. I need a re-gear and would like some input on which ratio to get and what a good price for parts and install would be. It is my DD. I live outside of Philly if anyone can recommend a good mechanic.

The gear topic is pretty much beat to death on this forum, so I'll let others respond to that. However, if you haven't done it already, I recommend checking out the AXLES, GEARS & DRIVETRAIN section in the FAQ. Be sure to review the gear chart for the 3.8L engine with manual transmission. Then search for gear posts by forum member JPop.

I've had good experiences with The Jeep Shop in Chester Springs and 4X4 Suspension & Gear in Lansdale. There's also Full Circle 4X4 in Pottstown.

Cost is subjective depending on where you are the experience of the installer.

I am currently having 5.13's installed with master install kits at one of my local experienced shops and it is $1487 out the door.

I am using G2 gears and kits.

It should be ready today........

I had quotes from 2 other shops of $1399 and $1657 using the same equipment.

I went with these as the reputation might have been a bit better and they could do it now.
